Snarl... '37 EL

(in my best Carl Sagan voice) "Billions and billions, Snarl." The
odometer just keeps goin' around and around.
Had a comment once from a guy up in Atlanta: "I can't believe... I
can't imagine somebody crossing the country two-up on an old
FLATHEAD. How old is that thing?"
Hang it up, Snarl. I know where to get all the replacement parts
that wear out: bearin's, tars, rings, plugs, chains, sprockets,
because I've been through all ov 'um. It's just my regular bike.
But i fear this state gummint-mandated ten percent alky-holl fuel here
in Flah may be the death uv Tex, once an' fer all. Tex don't like it.
The way i see it, ennyway, is that with the ten-percent alky-hole,
EVERYONE's MPG is going down about ten percent, right? So, the corn-
alcohol that's driven the price of corn (food) from $2 to $8 a bushel
is just FILLER ! It's just inert, taking up space in my fuel tank
(and making everything run hotter and not washing the valve guides
properly, etc, etc.) It might as well be WATER, fer godsakes! So, now
that the FLORIDA LEGISLATURE has mandated 10 percent alcohol in all
gas stations, we're just wasting ten percent of our ever-rising fuel
bills !!!

So that's why stations that used to have normal gas have nuttin but
*** gas now! Damn I hate that ***.

I just hope the federal subsidies die soon!!! Alcohol is for drinkin
not drivin!
