I've saw a few scoots last summer with the modulating headlight during
daylight hours on both bright and dark days. I thought it made them
much more visible to me. They caught my eye a lot sooner than a
normal scoot headlight does. I was thinking about installing one.
which a woman pulled out in front of a rider from a side street. He hit
her car and died. She was not at fault because due to his modulating
headlight she could not judge his distance nor speed correctly.
Most states allow the modulating headlight but do not permit them at night.

Thanks, I wasn't aware of the accident. Be interesting to find out if
an appeal was made.
It would have to have a switch added so it could be turned off for
night riding. Like you said, most states if not all, don't allow it
to be used at night.
Thanks
