Re: new 'puter

You'll come to like Vista even more as you discver the software that WON'T
work with it.

I am back, well I never really left, I have been using the wife's laptop
until I settled with the insurance co on my ruined computer. Some of you
maybe heard the tragic story of my computers demise, if not, have a drink
and I will try the condensed version.

Early last winter I noticed the garden hose was still attached to the
outside faucet. I removed it and forgot about it. Well, it seems the
damage
was done as the pipe from the valve to the wall froze and split. This
summer, mama decided to water her plants, and my office is right below the
broken water line, so I got my computer and monitors washed. It seems
computers don't take to well to water and everything died a horrible
death.
The good news is I have replacement insurance so I got me a new 'puter!
This
Windows Vista kinda scared me at first, but it is working fine, and not
really that much different from XP. The only problem I have is I was, and
still want to run two monitors. Vista will run multiple monitors, with a
different video card, but I have not been able to get it to work on this
'puter. My old XP unit I just dropped in another vid card, plugged in the
monitor and a couple settings it was running. New vid card in this machine
and it will not boot. I may drop it back into the box and see if the Geeks
at Best Buy can finger it out. Short of that, maybe a different
video/graphics card.
