Plastic is on the bar.To Charlie and Sleds without computers!
I would like to raise a glass to Knucklehead Charlie one of the best early
model builder and mechanic I've known.
He was one of the few who specialized in pre '70 Harley-Davidson's in the
area of Georgia I'm in. He was also a good friend of mine who repaired or
gave excellent advice on the right way to do it on the '51 Pan I own.
When you needed shop work you knew that it was going to be longer than you
thought, but it was done to the highest standard, the work was explained in
detail(especially if you showed up at the shop after hours with a six
pack),
and lasted for years and years(my transmission going on 15).
Your choice of beverage is on my tab.
So here's to you Charlie, my friend.
Ride free.
I'm gonna miss you, my brother.
