Sorry about the loss ........
A good friend of mine took his life a few years ago, The day before we
had ridden, got wet, had a lot of laughs and parted with big smiles.
If I had to list my friends and acquittances in order of suicide
potential he would have been last on the list.
A riding buddy of ours was a major on the local force and he rode herd
on the investigation. (All suicides are investigated here.) Any way, I
managed to talk to a police psychiatrist. What he basically said was
that suicidal people go through highs and lows. They usually take
their lives on a "high" because they see the "low" coming and are too
tired to go through another.
