Could be a head gasket. Run a compression check on both cylinders and
see if one is low. Also, eyeball closely where the head meets the
cylinder. If you see soot or oily looking residue, that's a sign. I
doubt that it's in the intake system, as the bike would run like crap.
Good to hear that you're feeling well enough to ride again. If I were
you, I'd go ahead and spend the bucks to make sure the bike is all in
order (if you're not capable of doing your own mechanics). A bike
sitting for that long can need some maintenance.
