Well, if the new version is anywhere near as good as the v2 or v3.?? I used a while back when I did IT work for a living (some living- 80 hr weeks), then take it, but I'd avoid the virus checker for one with a bit better update rep, like the AVG you're already using. It was excellent then, should be even better now.

Couple of warnings, watch out for some of the undelete and recovery utilities- they let you write to some dangerous sections of the hard drive and you can very quickly and all too easily hose your data and program files with a mis-placed keystroke. Then get rid of the wipe function, if you can, or just never ever go near it. This is a killer as it deletes and then overwrites the data on a drive. GONE forever. NOT recoverable without sending it out and tons of $$$$$. Long story short: needed to wipe a personal file on a work PC, tried it and wiped the entire 500mB in under 2 minutes. Almost got fired over that one.

Anyway- free is always good, and good software free is better.
