Gawd I love fireworks. Not those mamby-pamby sparklers and fountains. I
like stuff that flies or blows up. If it flies AND blows up it's even
better. I always have a couple grosses (grossi ?) of bottle rockets at
home. Sometimes I just get the hankerin' to go out and shoot 'em off.
The boys (twin 10 year olds) love it, too. Must be a guy thing.

Buddy of mine came over last spring and we made flash powder. I guess
it's kinda dangerous to fool with, but that's why it's fun. Blew up an
old central vacuum unit and sent it about 30 feet in the air. (I've got
it on video.) Found out that you don't use flash powder to launch a
golf ball out of a steel pipe. It explodes so fast that it will remove
the bottom 6 inches of the pipe. It did make the golf ball go away,
though.

Have fun tonight, don't blow off an ear or anything, and have a drink
on me...AFTER you discharge the ceremonial pyrotechnics. <g>
