The problem is probably B of A (or any other megabank). By the time the
so-called alliance is dissolved it probably takes a 12 month project and a
staff of 100 to update the website.
I bank with a small credit union and had no trouble with Canadian ATMs,
even the ones at the airports (even though they do misspell "checking").
The CU doesn't charge me any fees at any ATM and I get a refund of other
banks charges, but it's only 5 or 10 bucks a month. I'll be trying it out
in Europe sometime soon as I have some skymiles to use up before the
airline goes bankrupt.
