Hey Mike, what happened? I hope not a KZ1000 mishap.
Dennis
There were absolutely no mishaps involving KZ1000's. Thank you for your
concern:)
I was at a 2-week pollice mc instructor school. We were running through all
the accident avoidance drills and the one we were on was going fine. On the
last run, I was not in a position to complete the maneuver and decided to
eat a 36" cone which I did expect to be low-drama. I centered up on the
cone, got up on the boards becuase it always gets a little loose and my
front wheel apparently made a nest in the center of the base. My front
wheel was a cone at this point. I heard.... 40/45'?... for how far the cone
stayed with me. I honestly though the cone was way behind me at this point
and I only delayed in cased it was under my rear wheel. I began to drive
the mc again (I thought) and that was when King Kong grabbed me off the
bike and threw my ass into the pavement... bike continued to the left... I
stayed in the pattern for another 50'.
From there forward, I'll just say the instructors, the student instructors
and emergency responders took damn good care of me. My RMD and some
business friends also stepped up and took DAMN good care of me for the
remaining 10 days. Charles deserves to be singled out for service far above
and beyond.... Charles... I'll never be able to thank you sufficiently.
Thanks.
I really need to not be in this position anymore. Catch you later.
Mike
ps - if anyone has a suggestion for a less painful way to get from vertical
to horizontal on the bed.. or horizontal to vertical, I'd LOVE to hear it..

If this is just a general body pain complaint...get some good drugs!
If you're having problems getting up & down related to your injuries,
we'll probably need the injury manifesto to provide any helpful
advice. ;-)
