all in all no damage to equipment a blue wrench & a little brazing couldn't fix...
in fact it was kind of funny...
over the years
so far I've learned fords don't float, yet they don't sink that far either,
they sort of settle for a while then perch them selves in precarious
positions. international harvesters have a tendency to stall at the
wrong time leading to slippage & slideage into ditches (maybe he need to
adjust his float for unusual attitudes) john deeres smoke a lot when pulling
heavy stuff, also Deere have things hanging out so you shouldn't stand up
quick after hooking up tow chains, & yes if you hit your head on a 1/2 thick
plate of steel it make a really neat thonck sound loud enough to be
heard over the idling diesel

hot sweaty, & laughing

happened and you might want to come home & change into your dirty clothes.....
needless to say as i was finishing up the conversation with my wife the phone
buzzed in neighbor and he was wondering if i could free up a little time to help
him out with a little project.... of course i started laughing uncontrollably and
he wondered how i knew, next was my neighbor on the other side calling me to ask
if i was on my way home, because his wife just told him a funny story about a
tractor in a rather odd position.....

doomed, we married observant wives.... now were did i leave the block &
tackle?
I did most of my "tractoring" way before I had a wife. Got stuck a few
times... to be expected on a farm and probably not that uncommon in
suburbia either.
I got my 4x4 Avalanche stuck in the front yard trying to pull out
shrubs. I knew I should have stuck with BFG All-Terrains instead of
those street only Michelins. Pulling down slight hill, couldn't move
the last shrub. Then couldn't not back up to unhook strap. Neighbor
came over and pulled me and shrub out. He had real truck tires! :) My
wife generally doesn't say much if I'm hot, sweaty and pissed off. :)
