You say 20 years sitting, I'd guess this is a two stroke, right? Well,
I would put my bets on crank case seal going dry and rot and letting
gear box oil into cylinder and of course, being burned off and giving
you "the cloud". Easy fix, just ask JayC...

    ... but now I gotta clean a couple of carbs on ... the day when we used Pennsoil in the oil resevoir ... Some had choke cables that should be checked also. ... Hank <~~~ thinks running rich is better than running poor ...
