Now comes the fun part of trying to get all the guards, etc for the
2008 model and hopefully those after market vendors will have some
of the product available soon.

2008's are already out?? I was at the kawi dealer and they are still
uncrating 2007 KLR 650's That '08 looks like a step in the right
direction.
