I want the boots I paid a good amount of money for to hold up for at
least a month or so at a time.
Alpinestars responded promptly to my e-mail sent late last night and
offered several agreeable options:
1) They'd send me ANOTHER new pair of boots with a pile of spare parts
2) They'd be happy to repair the ones I have and send them back a pile
of spare parts.
or
3) They'd send me a pile of spare parts.

I don't think there's anything wrong with the boots other than the
cheap*** plastic buckle bases. I think I'll probably just go with
option 3.

Once you find the right person to deal with at A'stars, they're very
quick to respond and reasonable to work with. The way things ought to
be.

nice to hear, I'll shop for tech 10's when I wear my other boots out.
