The good news? Kick-ass excuse should I suck in Idaho.<snip details and the holeshot attempt on excuses>
The bad news? Reconstructive surgery in my future...again.
"Attempt?" I swept both motos, baby! I'm on the top of the podium!
I had to park that Buckley character in order to do it, but I
persevered, rode my own race, stayed within myself and tried not to do
too much with the track.
Tami, Tami, Tami..
I know, I know...
At least I had the decency to do it *before* arriving in Idaho this
time.
So, uh, this ISN'T the hand you tweaked here at our place, it's the other
one you tweaked in the mud, right?
That's correct. The wrist I hurt at your place (hmm...the wrist I
hurt...while riding *your* bike...on *your* private
property...obviously due to a defective trail and improperly placed
tree...Hey! I think I'll go shopping for a new CRF Junior!) is only
"severely sprained" and, according to my doctor, we can worry about
those cysts on the tendons later after we fix the left hand. On a
brighter note, I am not to do anything that makes it hurt, which is
mostly washing bikes and cars and dishes. Odd that it hurts worse after
those activities than it does after riding. Don't you think a sprained
wrist would feel better after 2 months?
At least I'll still be able to sleep at night.
Oh, yes; Get some sleep. The thumb injury was totally not your fault!
Sorry for the inevitable limitations, but you know we'll gladly deal with
the consequences for your company.
Thanks! I'll try to keep the whining and complaining to a minimum.
Sounds like it'll be a freakishly fast rehab, by your standards. That's
sorta good news, in a silver-lining sort of way.
Yeah, when he started bandying about words like "reconstruction" and
"spare tendon" I started getting nervous, and even got a little queasy.
But it doesn't sound *too* bad. At least I'll be able to walk and work
and stuff. I might have to drive the cargo van to work again, though,
which will suck Big Time.
Be careful on those damn stairs for the next 9 days, OK?
Yeah, I'm thinking about going out the front door from now on.
Our 2nd softball season starts the day before we leave. We told the
coach we'd be gone by then. No sense risking unnecessary injury the day
before leaving.
