I just returned from having my dog put down and I'm feeling mighty low
now.
Mike I feel for you. I went through this a couple of weeks ago.
My old police dog was 13.5 yoa. He has been getting bad. Left for Cap
Rock enduro on Friday morning. Friday afternoon my girlfriend called and
said the dog couldn't stand. I had to give the ok to have him put down over
the phone. She and a friend took him in and she put the cell phone to his
ear so I could say good bye while I was driving down the road.
I had spent more time with that dog than any other living thing in my
life. Nothing like crying at an enduro. The weekend, and race, was a mess
to say the least. Still not over it.
Hang in there bro.
