Not all "Solid State" electronics are created equal, and it's the
quality and toughness of the circuitry that I'm wondering about. I can
easily see the shock and vibration of riding breaking tiny soldered
connections internally, stuff like that. I've had particularly bad luck
with the connections to the output jacks breaking when things whack the
RCA plug in use.

I've done some riding with tunes, and quite like it. There are places
where I'd probably turn it off, but it's nice to have the option.
You have natural rhythm? Lucky ***. I want music to help establish
some rhythm.
