Rufus....I don't recall the one at the AF museum at
WPAFB...errr..National Museum of the Air Force.... ever being on
tour.  Notes indicate this one never went to space:

Gemini B Spacecraft
The spacecraft on display at the museum, although flight-rated, never
flew. It was used for heat testing and transferred to the Air Force
for use in the Manned Orbiting Laboratory (MOL) program

seesh...I liked the museums old name better...on the other hand...I
remember when it was just a single building off a dead-end road in
Fairborn.  And the Atlas in it's Christmas get-up

Hmmnnn...I was mighty young then...I do remember that is was one that
had flown, but not which one.  It was like that one - or in that sort of
state at least.

I hadn't heard they'd changed the name...well, there ya go.  So much for
tradition.  What I remember most about the Wright Museum had to do with
the XB-70.  When I was working for GE in Evendale I was told that they
had a team of folks that were tasked with going up there and maintaining
the engines on the XB-70 in "flight ready" status...that as back in the
early 80's.  Wonder if they still do that.

I haven't been ther in a couple of years, but I think they pulled the
engines when it became an indoor exhibit...and they probably did the
same with their Blackbird. Its only about 5 miles door-to-door...just
neverr find the time. But, its a great place to research
.
