This was the clear silicone stuff...just old, and split at both ends. I plan to get about three feet of line and just stick it in my bag next time I'm at the shop...
I got so many projects in the air right now that none of them are getting done...figures. Come to think of it, I was supposed to go over to a friend's place and check out a metal bender this weekend...just too damn hot out. Biggest little job I'd like to get done is to get those custom sissybars bent. The stock is just sitting in my garage gathering dust.
But that hasn't stopped me from buying into new projects...just ordered the complete suite of etch for a 1/32 Avenger, and the TBF kit itself is waiting for me at the museum. And I just paid off the bill for a couple of new hard drives and computer stuff I picked up a couple months ago. Getting really caught up in 3D stuff these days...got an illustrated short story in the works...not quite sure how I got off onto that one...
yup, that sounds like me too. i'm putting up a 31" dish, rebuilding several pc's, working on 5, (am i fucking crazy?) bikes, and trying to complete a walking liberty half set without killing a dealer.
metal bender, hmmmm.
hehe.
Yeah - I was getting ready to buy some I-beam and a bottle jack and make a hydraulic bender when he said he had one I can have. I think it has the dies I need...and I've got my eye on a set of transfer punches and a drill press. If I can ever get into a place I plan to piece together a machine shop.
In the meantime, I've got a strong itch to put my recording studio back together and start playing again. The G4/500 Mac I'm working on right now is going to become the new heart of my recording setup. Now that I'm comforable with Tigre, I'll clone my Tiger HD onto the 100G drive and wipe the 250G one to use as a raw recording/mixing drive. I need to get a MIDI interface, and a new little USB gizmo I saw recently and just re-wire everything. Between that and all m analog gear I should have quite a set-up.
Then I'll pick up a G5 and move all my 3D stuff onto it.
