It's not that there area too many knobs and settings. It's a matter of
learning how to use what's there. The 9C is a first class radio in it's
price range. Learn to use it and you won't have any problems.
This is a classic example of what some of us older guys have been trying to
tell some of the younger, or newer folks to the hobby. You need to learn
how to set the darn thing up. Mechanically and electronically.
Without more specifics from you, there's not much anyone here can do to
help. If you care to be more specific on what's going on, you might get
some useful information. Just understand that doing it in print over the
Internet is "not" a very easy way to diagnose problems so you might not have
much luck. On the other hand, many issues have been dealt with in forums
just like this one. You'll never know unless you try.
Good luck,
Steve R.

I have been working with the Futaba 9-C trying to get it to fly with the
Blade CP for months. I cannot get it to fly anything near as good as the
stock transmitter. My take on the problem... Too many knobs, settings and
gadgets on the 9-C.
I have it working on my Swift 16 electric with excellent results... GO
FIGURE....
