Now Hiring: Technical Advisor
The Academy of Model Aeronautics has an immediate opening for a Technology
Advisor.
Under the direction of the Executive Director or his/her designee, the
Technology Advisor is responsible for the overall operation of the
Technology Division, a sub set of the Programs Department. The Technology
Advisor will assist in the management of all division staff, and maintenance
of the division budget, as well as provide technical assistance in all areas
of contest board procedures, proposals, and preparation of World
Championships up to and including coordination of the rule book.
Education, skills, and experience required:
Minimum of an Associates Degree in Liberal Arts. A strong technical
knowledge of model building, flying, and competition, with good rapport and
personal contacts within the model industry. Good management and leadership
skills. The ability to work with and coordinate the activities of dedicated
volunteers. The ability to plan programs and projects, and to make
independent decisions.
Salary range: $45,000 to $65,000 depending on ability and experience. AMA
provides an excellent benefit package.
