Outdoor ranges are safe as far as getting shot goes,but indoor ranges have a
danger of getting hit with a ricashade round. Also a danger at an indoor
range is the noise . Even with ear protection you can have hearing damage.
If you shoot indoor, hook your shooting glasses over the earmuffs, not
underneath them. Don't shoot magnums indoors.
