Well, a one hour charge = 1C. So for a 600 mAh pack, that's 600 mA.
You don't pick the voltage setting yourself -- you just tell it NiCd,
600 mA and let it go.
NiCds can generally tolerate up to 2C or so without any trouble, and
with sub-C NiCds you can do 3C or maybe even 4C, but of course slower
is better on the battery.
If I'm not in a hurry, I'll usually charge AA NiCd packs at 1C, and AA
NiMH packs at C/3 or so. If I'm in a hurry, the AA NiCd packs are
charged at 2C, and the AA NiMH packs at 1C. If I'm charging through
my TX's diode, I generally keep the rate down around 500 mA -- I don't
want to fry the diode!
None of this is specific to the Triton -- any peak charger is
generally used in the same way.
