Re: Could they be on drugs ?

There are two kinds of 'model railroad' people: people who really run
trains on a layout (and spend time arguing about DC vs DCC and babbling
about the mystery of Ohm's Law and LEDs and resistors and the color of
bricks and mortar so on) and those that have glass-fronted cases of
trains (often what the other types would consider 'junk'). The people
who run their trains also do things like smear dark pastel chalks
and/or lightly spray paint grimy black paint on their trains in a
deliberate attempt to make them *look* like crap (and thus look like
the the grime covered, paint peeling, dusty, 12" to the foot smoke
belching models pounding their way back and forth across the
countryside). Whereas the collectors are busy dusting and polishing
their collection making them look as shiny and new as they did coming
out of the factory, even when that factory was some cheap stamp molding
join in Taiwan or someplace).

Hey!
I resemble that remark. But I fit into both categories.... That makes
me really weird? Hmmm....just as I suspected! :-)
