Thank you Geezer! These that I have may or may not be reproductions...
However, from the history I've gathered these replicas (suggested by
Gzz) must be old since whomever produced them had no means of
production besides casting (mid 1800's)...at least during the W&aRR era
or so....Tin was a long way away.....Some of those (the Train Engine)
that I have ARE separated by SCREWS (The buggies aren't and nor are the
lil' trucks). Thats OK... I would like to know more about them...Some
have a marking on them (train cars) of 40 or 44 which is very
interesting however to me only suggests that the year. PRR is a mark on
another, which what I know is a Pennsylvania RR... I have used naval
jelly on a couple of units, primarily a couple of HANGING units of a
train and one of a horse and buggy.. It looks good... I'll never sell!
Like the look of the refinished but have not proceeded without advice
since not interested in comprimising the antique.. Please
Advise...Thanks

That sounds like a good idea: it seems you may have something in the
"Antiques Road Show" category on your hands, so you might not want to
ruin it by trying to "restore" it.

Seriously--can you post some pictures somewhere we can look at them? I'm
curious to know what this old thing looks like.
