API’s membership, which includes ExxonMobil, GE, and Halliburton, will
join “allies from a broad range of interests: the Chamber of Commerce
and National Association of Manufacturing, the trucking industry, the
agricultural sector, small business, and many others” to create these
Astroturf rallies to protect their dirty energy profits at the expense
of the planet.- Hide quoted text -
how is this different from ACORN?
Because ACORN is lobbying for policies he likes (whether or not he
actually understands them) and API is lobbying against policies he
likes (again, whether or not he actually understands them) and for
Hal, that is what actually matters.
But to be perfectly clear, the article he is citing here is dead
wrong. These companies are not arguing against "clean energy" they
are arguing against the half-assed policies that the Obamacrats are
pursuing in regards to energy reform in general. Obama and his ilk
are actually HURTING the cause for alternative energy.
Do you now see what your giant government gets us?
No, he really doesn't see.
