Re: Forms ending at the beginning?

Thanks djinn.

The spear part drew my attention (anything related to staff/polearm as
it were). ;-)

If positions are switched, then it is not just linear back & forth, as
the sword style drills that I had in mind; at least Regimental Highland
Broadsword. Shindo Muso Ryu Jodo also tends to be linear & more
forward-moving, so that either the partners switch roles to go back,
both exchange positions at the current end of the training area or else
just do a LOT of stepping to get back to the starting end.

I assume that the circle-walking Bagua training goes back around to end
where it started. Does such circle patterned forms/systems have partner
training with 1 person walking backwards in a circle doing the counter
side of the drill? Just wondering; not overly familiar with Bagua to
know though of course.
