I have actually been sent from the future to prevent the LHC from
being completed, in order to save mankind from the unimaginable horror
that it will cause...  the problem is, time travel technology depends
on knowledge gained from the LHC, and so every time I succeed in
stopping it from running the result is that I stop myself from going
back in time and stopping it from running...

Just so you know, it is not mini black holes, strangelets, or de
Sitter space...  the thing ends up opening a doorway to the seventh
dimension, and giant super-intelligent seven-dimensional rabbits come
out and enslave the world with telepathic powers.

Do they have frickin lasers on their heads?

If not, then I , for one, don't welcome our rabbit overlords.
