That isn't the impression you give when you say things like:
What you missed is that you can't plan for a discontinuous event
chain.
It's like - what's the point, trav? You're just rambling.
There is no point.
I am telling you AGAIN and AGAIN that your plans are for NAUGHT, but
you refuse to listen.
You cannot come to grips with the fact that if what we all see coming
materializes, that there is NO SUCH THING as adequate planning!
So, you do what a lot of people do...just do SOMETHING because it
makes you feel better. I know that there is no point in it.
Certainly if I were going to build a compound, I'd do it in Patagonia
or the remote north of Scandinavia, not RIGHT, SMACK in the middle of
the EPICENTER nations for GD2!
If Hal was such a great planner, he'd have been gone already, not
still sitting in the middle of the USA.
Both of you are taking larger risks than I am.
Why should we believe you? You haven't offered any evidence - but even
barring that you haven't even attempted an explanation. On the other
hand, I have carefully thought out what I am doing. There is a
*reason* why I am doing what I am doing. You? Your accusations sound
awfully hollow from where I am now.
I'm sure you've thought it out, but your capacity for thinking is very
limited, consequently, you have done things which are incorrect. The
solution here is COUNTER intuitive. That is what I keep trying to
tell you. The correct ULTIMATE solution is not what will work durin
the transition period.
It's like this...imagine hyperinflation. Most people like you would
think, here's my chance, I'll rack up debt and it'll get devalued
while I chill. You'll be too busy trying to afford food while you get
to the point down the road when you could have paid your debts off for
pennies.
What I am saying is that both of you have packed WELL for the
destination, but have NOT for the trip.
The TRIP is what is going to be the tribulation. When I get to the
destination, I'll buy what I need there.
These are metaphors; do not take them literally. Nobody knows where
this is going; you cannot pack for EVERY contingency. You have to
have the ability to adjust and react. Having a farm NOW is
unimpressive as hell.
You don't know what you're talking about.
Oh please....
Oh yeah except of course when you got hammered on derivatives a few
months back.
Huh? When was this?
Remember trav. It works - until it doesn't. That's the whole point of
the current crisis, you know...
Yeah...a lesson that seems to have eluded you.
***, why shouldn't I just start growing vegetables right here in my
house? Then I'll have my own food supply.
How idiotic. Move somewhere in America to build a compound...lol. In
Taiwan...lol.
Trav
