I love this perk of training! Like so many of you guys, I have better
than average success in these type of attempts. My kids I teach think
I'm awesome because while running 'em thru' their kicking drills, one
lil' boy's shoe comes right off hurtling at my head. I snatched it
before it hit me and kept right on going w/ the kicking drill. They
were amazed :-)
My most embarrassing moment was yrs ago while training w/ 20+ of my
'mates, we all were running thru' our kicking drills. I'm on the front
line, and I execute a front snap kick (kept low) but my shoe comes
completely off. Hurtling, like a rocket....right at my sifu's head. He
caught it, I was completely mortified, my 'mates were amazed,
laughing.
And I thanked my lucky stars when I got home from class since I did
not have to do any punishment drills <whew>. RTW
