Ow. Actually, the smartest thing I do now is to not catch certain stuff. Like when you're working on your car and drop a small part - used to always try to grab it, and in the midst of missing the catch, I'd also miss where the hell it bounced to. Now I just watch it fall, and make sure I know where it bounced or rolled to.
