So, how about you? Do you have any cup-catching stories to share? :)
Well, not a cup, but still a good story:
I'm at a wedding rehersal, and my (then) one-year-old is wandering
around the hall. He climbed up in a chair, sat down and leaned back.
Unfortunately, this chair had an open back, with a crossbar higher
than his head, so he flipped right backwards out of the chair, head
first.
I dove across the aisle, and very happily managed to get my hand under
his head before he hit the floor. He was unhurt, and unfazed - didn't
make a peep. Of course, there's the two of us sprawled on the floor,
in the middle of a couple dozen people wondering what the hell just
happened.
Read an article recently about someone teaching stage fighting, and
how not everybody is cut out to learn it. The people he wanted to
coach were, yeah, the ones who have the reflexes to try and catch the
falling cup.
