Yeah, sounds right.

I can't speak for his experiences rolling with his teachers, but even I can
see Dalla's subs coming from a mile away even if I cannot ultimately stop
them. I can see what he's trying and when/if I escape that exactly where
I'm being led for the next one.

I lose to (some) people and tap all the time. But I'm hardly ever surprised
or confused by what's going on. I almost always see the tactical (and
strategic) situation just as well and as fast as my opponent. I can't always
pull off what I would like to do, or prevent what I see them trying to do.
But I rarely get caught by surprise.
