Really name them.
----The October Horse, The Worst Hard Time, The Looming Tower,
Mayflower, Last Great Fight, United States: essays.....

Other than the Looming Tower ( let's see who wrote that - does he speak
the languages did he live in the cultures?) never heard of them.

So, you want a history of AQ written by an Arab or it's not legit?

It is more legit. You get a lot more information from people who actually
speak the language and know the culture than from someone writing a book
from research. They lack bvackground, depth and understanding about the
topic. I have read a ton of books by journalists that simply do not hold a
candle to the arab speaking authors. I simply prefer authors like Nasr and
Phares over most anglo authors. If you want to read a really fascinating
book read " Inside HAMAS - the untold story of the militant Islamic
movement" by Zaki Chelab. Chelab personally knew and interviewed most of the
leaders of HAMAS. Much more interesting book than a journalist researched
endeavor.

Here's a review from that liberal rag, the Wall Street Journal:

Yeah I read the review pretty much standard stuff and not very impressive
to me. I think you could probably find better. It does not say the book is
very good. The wall referred is the " Chinese wall " erected by Clinton's
Gorelick to protect our civil rights. It prevented the FBI agents were
working on espionage from talking to FBI agents who were working on domestic
criminal cases. A full description is found in the book " Lightning Out of
Lebanon - Hezbollah in the US." That book is about a cigarette smuggling
racket in the US that was sending millions back to Hezbollah. The wall was
another case of Clintonism run amok.

At least four were on the Times best seller list...Mayflower bagged a
Pulitzer for non fiction history\

....looks like you need to broaden your horizens...look I've done the
research for you....

It would have to follow my interest right now which is studying the Islamic
movements and the history of the same in central asia, the middle east and
some of the far east. Not shotgunning through everything.

You should
enjoy the " The Khyber Pass" and "God's Crucible Islam and the Making of
Europe. " They were interesting books - just finished them.

----Your reading interests are very narrow compared to mine....

Yes they are focused right now. I like to study a subject intensely and read
all I can about before going to another. You learn more that way and get
everyone's side to the problems.

UN peace keeping is pretty much a joke though. I am sure when you
Looney lefties disarm us you will tell us we can depend on them to
keep us safe.
----Suuure, Hillary's comin for your guns, Derb....HaHa, what a
loon....
She already did once. You dont remember all that experience she got in
the White House as first lady. Who do you think recommended Janet Reno
the tooth fairy? You dont remember? Was the assault weapons ban bill
and the Brady Bill fiction in your mind? Chip chip chip away. You must
have been asleep during that period.
---Did she come and get yer guns, Derb?

She tried but you lost congress.

---Nonsense.

Oh you mean you did not lose congress after the Brady Bill and the assault
weapons ban. You better refresh your memory.

Remember. Ah I know that was so painful you
repressed it.

---You have a active imagination....

Traumatic was it not.

You just cannot admit it.
-----Did she come and get yer guns, Derb?

You are stuttering.

---You finally answered the question...in your own way of course....
Recently, she dodged the whole question during a
debate. Did not you see the debate?
---The one with questions about lapel pins? No, Derb, I read the
highlights in the paper....

Too bad.

----Yup, the televised debates have descended to the level of the lowest
common denominator....entertainment in lieu of information...

Well it was your debate.
