It looks like Jet Li, Wu Bin, and a number of high profile
traditionalists (many of whom which organized the original wushu
routines) are now using the failure of wushu to get into the Beijing
Olympics as an excuse to dump modern wushu and return to traditional
training methods. It seems the stigmas of the cultural revolution are
now forgotten (they're a generation ago).

Good.

If you don't know what this means, you soon will. Although it may take
upwards of 5-10 years to work itself out, you will. And you'll be able
to look at the beijing olympics as the catalyst/turning point.

The implications are... mildly interesting to a select group of genre
movie fans.
