Such as?
I would suggest that starting off a conversation with one's children with
the phrase "Okay kids, now if a gumman enters your school and starts
randomly shooting the children, what do you do?" might lead to paranoia on
the part of the children.
As Hal correctly pointed out, there are many things which are far more
statistically likely to happen to children these days and for which we
don't bother to specifically prepare them.
