sorry, I hit the send before I put the thoughts down...
but Matt Hughes's guys, lost another preliminary fight... 6 to 1 now.

The most interesting part of the episode was the stupid soap opera in the
Serra household. It seems the other guys wanted to be woken up by the
australian guy, who instead of sleeping late like them, got up to train.
Then they all decided to try to make him feel bad. He didn't seem to give
a ***, and then went out and won his fight.

I ranted on this very thing on a similar thread on alt.ufc. What is with
these guys? I never heard of a more trivial excuse for ostracizing a
teammate. Are they not allowed alarm clocks? Anyway the Greek says he turned
on the light, then he took a shower and remember there was a cameraman there
as well. Who could sleep through that especially at 10am? Sheesh! Unless
maybe they spend the wee hours boozing it up?

There is a technique I learned some 40 years ago. As you lay in bed you
close your eyes, and repeat to yourself over and over the time you need to
get up. "Wake at 6:30, wake at 6:30, wake at 6:30." as you drift off and
believe me you won't need a clock or a nanny to wake you up.

While I'm in ranting mood what's up with all the crying? Even before he knew
what his injury was he was bawling like a 3 year old who didn't get a pony.
Matt had to comfort him. Then when he loses he runs like Niagra Falls. I
must be really old but when I was that age it was considered unmanly to cry
(even in private, much less in public). At an early age you were taught,
"Big boys don't cry." "Suck it up." "Be a man." Where in the world were
these guys fathers? My dad was not a tough guy physically but he knew how a
man was supposed to act and he taught his sons his expectations. These are
supposed to be tough men. I know they are highly conditioned, motivated and
skilled but Zeno must be turning in his grave at their actions in response
to setbacks or losses. Take care.
