Re: Who Would Least Like to Fight on RMA?

BTW, before you make a bigger fool out of yourself, you may want to take up
the time to look up the kanji.

From Jim Breen's wwwjdic:
http://www.csse.monash.edu.au/~jwb/cgi-bin/wwwjdic.cgi?1MKJ%BD%C0
"tender, weakness, gentleness, softness"

From Saiga:
http://www.saiga-jp.com/cgi-bin/dic.cgi?m=search&sc=0&f=0&j=%E3%81%98%E3%82%85%E3%81%86%E3%81%A9%E3%81%86&g=7&e=&s=9&rt=0&start=1&sid=1192233154_1065
soft, tender, gentle, mild, flexible

From docoja
http://www.docoja.com:8080/kanji/kansear?dbname=kanjig&sword=soft&stype=1
flexible, supple, soft

What is the meaning of the old Japanese Martial arts proverb (which predates
Judo, BTW) "Juu yoku go wo sais"

What's the character used in the Japanese word for soft ("yawarakai"?)

Perhaps you can explain what, exactly, about pointing out those
meanings--soft, supple, giving way being implicit--is supposed to be so
stupid.

Before you answer, I should point out the following:

- I studied Japanese in school
- My wife is Japanese
- I've been to Japan many times
- My primary instructor in Judo, although Korean, was raised in Japan
- The "assistant instructors" include one gentleman who is Japanese and
another who lived in Japan for on the order of 10 years specifically to
study Judo, first at the Kodokan, then at other places.
- All of these people confirm my description of the "juu" term in Judo.

You know, I hit one of Burkhead's below-listed URL's at random and I hit
this:

"""The "ju" in "judo" means "softness" or "giving way." """

You're a typical idiot that missed the boat and so anything else you think
you know is worthless.

Adios.
