OT -Movie reviews for you.

By accident I managed to see some movies so here is the crtiques:

Death Sentence
with Kevin Bacon - miss it.
dumb show. Bacon's son is killed by gangbangers in their initiation ritual.
The DA says he can put the gangbanger away for 3 years - not much- Kevin
refuses to testify and goes after gangbanger. He inadvertently kills
gangbanger. He is shocked. Gangbangers gang comes after Kevin. Lecture from
female cop about starting wars with gangbangers ( hmmm son already killed by
gangbangers starting?). She says let authorities handle it. Yeah - 3 years.
Police protection provided Kevin's family. Cop guarding house shown with
throat slashed ( authorties not doin so hot handling it). Kevin sitting on
interior steps in house with baseball bat. Gurading his family. Gang armed
to teeth. Gang breaks into house kills all Kevin's family. Kevin survives
gets better arms than baseball bat ( makes one wonder why he does this now).
Goes after gangbangers. Theme of movie -. he becomes just like them. That is
baaad. He kills all and is killed.
Dumb movie, dumb plot, dumb theme. Be smart. Miss movie.

3:10 to Yuma
Russell Crowe - miss it.
I love westerns. This one starts off good winds up with everyone stepping
out of character and has really contrived plot. Miss it too. Orginal with
Glenn Ford and Vah Heflin much better. Two good actors vs one good actor.

The Brave One
Jodie Foster
Minor league Deathwish movie. Critics panned it. But it is not too bad. Good
ending. Dont break your neck to see it -but there are much worse playing.

The Kingdom
Starts slow real slow and then picks up speed and starts racing at 100 miles
an hour. Best line is: " We have to dial down these boobies" from weasley
state dept type as Saudi prince approaches FBI female in T shirt. Weasly
state dept type drapes her with chador. See it worth the ticket price.
Kind of true and interesting clash of cultures protrayed. Good flick.
