Apparently if your research goes a direction that politically incorrect,

research is politically incorrect you could lose funding!

So what? You don't think that maybe the same thing might happen with
other research do you?

Peace favor your sword (IH),

I had a professor from a New England college give a lecture in my area. He's played the 'game' and never discussed in his classrooms the particular political and philosophical discussions and opinions that he decided to research and write about. Although the books are well received, the university he was teaching at got wind of it, and not so politely told him to stop writing such books.

He got rave reviews from students for his classes, and that was never an issue. But they decided to get someone with lesser skills, but 'politically correct,' and to not renew his contract.
He told me it is after 23 yrs or so of teaching at the college level, now rampant.
