thanks 4 the link, man!

Yes, they make the usage a lot safer, I think.

...and, suprisingly, it fits in
my front pocket as well.

That's perfect. I am a sales person and I have to travel a lot around
the country. Some of my customers are located in not so lovely regions
of the larger cities and if you have to leave your car there, you always
look twice, before unlocking and opening the door. Same situation in
some of the parking garages in some downtown parts of let's say Hamburg,
Frankfurt and other cities. So a weapon, that is not too large and fits
even in the rear pocket of my suit, but is a tool to work with, is
exactly what I need. At the moment I am using a stiletto, which I bought
in Italy, on vacation it has those guards, too, but it is some years old
now and the spring is getting weak, so this might be the right time to
change it for a Ti-Lite :-)

same company (cold steel), around the same price if you keep an eye
out for sales!
You can't mail order knives in Germany?

Sure I can, but in Germany you have a veeery, veeery severe assault
weapons law, that even restricts the length of a blade you may wear on
one hand there is a import tax to pay for products bought in the US. So
if I mail order a TI-Lite in the US and they send it, there is a rather
high chance that German customs do an examination on the package
(because of the tax) and then find out, that there is a knife in it.
Then they will take a look at it and if the blade is to long (longer
then 85 mm which is approx. 3.4"), i am acting illegal.

-----Yow! My TiLite has a 6" blade, but I think they offer one with a
4". Less than 3 1/2" is pretty short, perhaps one of the Urban Pal
push knives or neck knives might be more "legal".

Anyway, I'll
mail Cold Steel if they would do a mail order to Germany and may be I
try it, if they agree, as the knifes are really nice!

----Good luck, I've found cold steel products to be very reliable.
