Divine revelation, apparently, since his only two sources for the
horse*** he spouts about Shuai Jiao and Judo were an article in Black
Belt Magazine and a book by his teacher, which it was demonstrated
that he actually hadn't read.
He's rated in judo
No he isn't. Last time 'round, he was unaware that Judo included
jointlocks. Which suggests to me that his experience with Judo ended
when he was a little kid, since some places don't allow jointlocks for
kids' competitions.
Oh, please. Don't be such a moron. I might have to come teach you what
real joint-locks are. Most judo schools didn't do joint-locks back in the
60's, Eric. I know. They did a few locks, but not really the jointlocks.
They've probably discovered that there was more to judo than all the
"experts" knew when I was doing it.... just like you're going to look like a
moron in the archives in a year or two about the shuai jiao thing.
Really... go back and look at the video clip again, the uniforms, the
throws. Remember that everything in Japan was borrowed from the Chinese
including their martial arts (even the goddam "Koryu" come from Chinese
sources, as I mentioned earlier). Then, with a straight face, tell everyone
what a coincidence it is that shuai jiao looks like judo. Grow up.
, competed,
Maybe, maybe not. He claims to have been on a Marine Judo team, but
when Ben Holmes (who actually _was_ on _the_ Marine Judo team)
questioned him about it, he was, uh, reticent about giving details.
No, ***. Holmes, your ***-buddy, tried to make a big deal out of the
"a Marine judo team" versus "THE Marine judo team", but all that does is
make you both look like the assholes you are. I was on the team at Whiting
field in about 1964? maybe and the base team at San Miguel, NavCommStaPhil.
But guess what..... all that attempt to trivialize me sounds cool to you
dumbasses, but pretty much everyone with common sense saw that all you were
and ARE doing is trying to hide your own ignorance by attacking me
personally. Why don't we just shift back to hearing some more of your
"expert" opinions about how shuai jiao and judo aren't related, even though
everyone on RMA can see that they are? What happened to the Chinese judo
guy who started taking shuai jiao on Taiwan... why don't you ask him what he
knows by now? Maybe he can explain to you "experts" how to get your heads
out of your asses and see the obvious.
and has had a lot of exposure to chinese art
of all sorts.
He has actually stated on this newsgroup that he has never practiced
Shuai Jiao.
Unlike, for example, me.
Yeah.... you took for how long? And from whom? Are you an "expert" on
shuai jiao or just some novice that never got very far and you're trying to
ride that as trumping what I know about Chinese martial arts and Japan? Go
ahead. See if you can stick to the topic though.
Oh..... and like I said (this is important, Eric, because it shows you know
less than I do about judo), it turns out that I was wrong about judo....
they DID have the qi and jin things in there and the better guys understood
and used "aiki". Do you even know what those things are, Eric? Yes or no?
Show me what you know. I say you're the typical western bozo doing
"technique" taijutsu and that's the limit of your knowledge of judo. Show
me I'm wrong factually without trying to get off into the personal.
