I watched Pride the other night, a bunch of rerun matches.
There was Silva vs.some Jap, who put up a good fight,
until he decided to remove his jacket... while his
hands are busy, Silva clobbered him! LOL
We're talking Darwin Award.
It made me wonder - what would happen if Silva did
that favorite hockey move, wrapping the jacket
around his head? Would the ref step in? What's
the ruling there? I was praying for that...
And they had Frye vs. Ken Shamrock, one of those
'grudge matches' (which brings to mind pro wrestling,
but let me not digress). Geezus, these guys are both
40, and obviously juiced to the gills. Don't they test
for steroids?
During the final three minutes, they were on the floor,
Sham had one leg trapped, he was working on the
ankle. Question for the foot lockers here - how did Frye
survive? Sham is expert in those. Bad position? Frye
couldn't escape, he grabbed a foot and tried the same
thing, it looked like desperation to me. Then the bell
rang, ending it. Frye won a decision (I thought it too
close to call).
