discovered that my current DSL had a rate structure change and I can
actually get 758K for $10 cheaper than I currently pay for my 512K service
now! So guess if you've had a plan for a while, might be a good time to
check on that. I'm bundling my phone onto that also and it turns out to be
about $20 cheaper than I pay through Sprint after they add in all their
bogus charges and taxes. I think I was paying something like $100 bucks
for
DSL and 2 phone lines with no long distance. Now it should be closer to
$63!
You yanks are behind the times mate. Aus$89 a month (about 20 US cents) for
24MB broadband and a VOIP service. : )
Fraser
(24MB = 2.4Mbits/second). I can get 3Mbps for $49 bucks, but downloads are
limited to 5gig/month. Currently my DL are unlimited.
Converting your 2.4Mbps cost to US currency, that's $68.67US. Plus you're
getting VOIP (and cheap VOIP, I might add). Not a bad deal! ;-)
758Kbps sounds plenty fast to me <g>, though I miss the T-3 connection I
had when I worked, 45mbps/sec.
