Good, old-time, library repair tape (fabric, heavy adhesive) can run $45
bucks a roll. I can use 'black' for most repairs, seals, reinforcements
hidden by covers- all that kind of tape stuff.

It's that good.
And, $10 to repair a bag is cheap- and you could repair a 'few' bags with a
single roll. I did a big banana bag and a 120# canvas bag that got rotted
with water- and still have tape left.
Very convincing stuff.
