Re: We Hire Illegals

If you want to cure illegal immigration then fix the primary cause.
Find a more efficient way for farmers to harvest their crops and
migrant workers will go the way of the Dinosaur.

About 2% of illegals work the crops, and most of them are *still* migrants,
not year-round residents.
The cost of food is not in the harvest- it's in the profit, advertising,
preparation, packing, distribution and resale.
Illegal immigrants have targeted the 'baseline' jobs- 'entry positions' have
now become lifetime careers. All of the jobs that used to be filled by
teenagers, or seniors, or otherwise 'marginal' workers, are now filled by
people who came here illegally.

The only problem is
we need to find a way that also doesn't use oil or else that will come
back to bite us when it peaks.

how about just using our own workers?
