As for you not hiring illegal immigrants, the only way you can be
absolutely certain that you not to hire anyone who isn't a relative or
close friend.

While I don't support companies knowingly hiring illegal immigrants, and
I feel that employers who do so deserve to be prosecuted criminally,
your suggestions don't really address the issue.

don't hire anyone who doesn't at least make an attempt to learn the common
language.

A fair number of illegal immigrants speak English. Some of them have
been here for years. Some of them come from countries where English is
either the normal langauage or a common second language. The problem
isn't just Mexican aliens. Also, a fair number of US citizens don't
speak English.

don't hire anyone who's not signed up for a citizenship course.

Are you signed up for one? Of course you're presumably a US citizen,
but since my point was that it isn't all that simple to absolutely prove
whether someone is a US citizen or not before you hire them, that
doesn't really matter.

don't hire anyone who flies a foreign flag.

Do you have any idea how many US citizens, some of whom have been US
citizens for generations, have a flag of the country their family came
from? It isn't just Mexican flags, it's German flags, Czech flags,
French flags, etc.... Also, since the statement you were replying to
was that it wasn't possible to absolutely discern the citizenship of the
people you were trying to hire, how do you propose to find out if they
fly a foreign flag in the job interview?

don't hire anyone who asserts that they are 'la raza' and everybody else is
prey.

So you propose making it a job requirement to ask people the question
"Do you assert that you are 'la raza' and everybody else is prey?"? I'm
sure that would be very helpful in weeding out illegal immigrants.

It's not like the employers care if they're a US citizen or not Rich.
Nor that they would go through the efforts to prove that they are.

Jeezus buddy, where have you been?

Mike
