I'm still trying to work out if it's the lower caloric intake or the
actual food that are the mystery ingredient. In any case, I'm losing
weight, which is what I wanted.

Nice to hear it's working for you :)

How do you ensure that you're not losing muscles, though? You do
caliper testing as well? 1000-1500 seems awful small for your build!

That's a good question and one I've been pondering myself.

No to caliper testing - I just eat as much as I need to till I feel
full. Noticed what may be a slight decrease in muscle mass - not much.
Don't feel weaker by any means, afaik

Looking at a recent daily breakdown -

Average Daily calories eaten (past 7 days)
Calories: 1,365

-------------
Fat:
27%
(69g av)
-------------
-Sat (15g)
-Polyunsat(7g)
-Monounsat (14g)
--------------
Carbs: 54%
(89g av)
---------------

-------------
Protein: 20%
(80g av)
------------

I dunno what to say. I'm thinking of adding a protein powder, because
truth be told, this amount of food (serving wise and preperation wise)
suits me, but the protein seems a little low. I hear it should be 1g
to 1kg bodyweight, so it should be at least 15-20kg higher. Maybe I'll
just add another egg to the daily menu

If you're training with weights as well, you'll want even more protein than
that. Otherwise it should probably be fine.
