Re: TKD Death

he claims to have broken a guy's glasses into two peices using a two
fingered thrust, while drunk, and not using full power. He also
patted away the drunken, full power attacks of some guy in a fight,
without realizing that it was a serious fight. Afterwards, he claims,
the attacker bowed down and showed him respect, recognising him as
the winner. Ha!

It wasnt a 2 finger strike. It was a thrusting finger(s) strike. The
fingerS are horizontal in a straight line.

The guy went from 'play' mode to attack mode because his pride was hurt.
I never said it was full power.. but ya know, I honestly couldnt tell
though, because from the point he threw the one hard shot that landed, he
caught the fingerstrike at the same time, and things stopped as he couldnt
see anything.

Im sure he was pretty happy that I didnt follow up after that point..
and of course, he realized I wasnt about kicking peoples asses.. rather,
just to speak the truth about the arts. He didnt bow.. but did shake my
hand.

I appologized for breaking his glasses, but wasnt about to offer to pay
for another set.. because he decided to 'step up' into fight mode. Had he
stayed at the play range, my strike never would have connected.

At another time in the same club, I met a JKD guy. We did a little
sparring on the open outdoor deck. ( i tend to meet other artist because
when I get drunk, im usually doing 'unofficial' drunken kung fu! :)

Afterwords we talked about differnt things, and I told him the same story.
He immediately asked if the guy was "andy".. to which I laughed. Seems
that Andy is pretty high strung, and had also fought with the jkd guy as
well. lol

Ive spoke with Andy a few more times here and there. Hes an ok guy. I
admire his fighting spirit.. but ya know, to get so hyped up so easily
(pride/ego), is not a good thing. Got him into trouble more than once...
and will probably do so again... ahh well : ) hehhe

Anyway, it brings up the point... that many people with glasses have to
worry about them getting knocked off. Besides the arts that have some sort
of touch training... what would 'you' do should you get blinded in a
fight...?

The embelishments to my stories are amusing and entertaining. heh
But please, if you Quote me, please keep the quotes accurate.
