I'm just saying that Jewish history, if Scripture is to be believed,
included some very bloody and destructive facets.

Heck, Akin's whole family was killed because he didn't destroy
*everything*. Saul lost the Kingship because he didn't destroy
*everything* as both were instructed to do.

But it was in a time and a place and for specified reasons. Difficult to
understand in our framework. But not for all time, for all others, and
all over the world. Vast differences between and world conquering
ideologies.
